I'm a slug

Okay, okay - I can't believe I have fallen down on my writing duties of providing my millions of fans with the ever changing drama of my life. Let's see where to begin. Ahh, employment - what a change of pace from unemployment. More like a change of pace from my last two jobs. Freedom to do what I want with my department. No micromanagers here. Nobody afraid I will take over their job. Candy dishes always full of my favorite chocolates - which I walk all the way around the office to avoid. All you can drink Diet Dr. Pepper. A 4 minute walk to one mall - way dangerous - as I can go shopping at lunch and spend my paycheck very easily. I already "treated" myself to a new briefcase at the Tumi Store - on sale of course! A 5 minute ride in the car to the other mall. So much for employment.

BFNM - he's still in Florida. He's having to make hard decisions concerning the declining health of his parents. It's very sad and my thoughts and heart go out to him. He will be off to London in two weeks for job interviews. I know you want to know how I feel about that - I'm encouraging him to go. He has dreams he needs to fulfill in his life. I understand his wanderlust because I too have that wanderlust. What he needs is love and support in this decision to be far from friends and family. One thing I have always done with BFNM is have his back. I surprised him two years ago when I supported a business decision he was making and continue to have his back when he needs me.

Ex-boyfriend - I am looking for a good acronym for this guy. He's indescribible. That is his personality. As for his body - there are no complaints in that department. He works out - alot - I mean a whole lot. So unlike my body (which is soft like a woman's body should be) he is a hard body. The reason why he's an ex is that he wants my soft body to be harder. If you have ever seen me at the gym you would kick me out. I'm a girl. I'm a such a klutz I can't even skip rope much less run wind sprints much less run. I hate the treadmill (boring), stationary bike (well it's stationary) and the row machine (not enough wind). I don't mind the elliptical until you have to get off and then I have wobbly legs. Oh and that sweating thing - yuck! What is worse is his obsession with every single morsel of food that goes in his mouth. The last time we spoke I told him he had an eating disorder. He may have a great body but in my opinion what he considers healthy habits I consider abnormally extreme to achieve. He wants to see me again. I won't let him at least not yet. I told him when I was ready we would have to meet in a public place because we all know what would happen if I let him in my condo or I go to his place. Yep, I'd give in the moment he tried to kiss me. Easier not to be swayed by meeting in public. For now I'm most comfortable with email, im and phone calls. Am I being silly?

Weather - the storm is coming this way and I still haven't gotten to the grocery store. I have plenty of Tab, weight watcher ice cream bars, and bottled water. Oh, I just found a can of soup. If there is one piece of ice on the roads, I will be staying put. Maybe now would be a good time to get back with the ex just for extra warmth. HMMMMMMM..........

Hope all are safe and warm wherever you are. Be happy.

Why did you do that?

Don't you know that I love bags?

ARRRRGGGGGG!!!

Glad to know, though, that you are alive and well. As for the ex? How about calling him the Hardbody? Oh, well. Just a suggestion.

Stay off the icy roads!

And about the ex??? Well, no advice there. Guess you have to follow our gut. Good luck.

PW - Hardbody isn't an acronym

Kari - thanks for the advice about the roads - but no ice here - at least not yet.

As for the ex = i have two extremes with him - what I like I really like and what I don't like I really hate. That's why public places will keep me from trouble. :)

Yeah, keep with the public places for now ... but at least it's a fun diversion, huh?

Swishy, it would be fun if I wasn't so.... well let's just say it's been awhile and I could jump his bones anytime. Safe, better to stay in open spaces, lots of people not be tempted.

I think it is a little odd that he cares so much about YOU being a hardbody. If he's into it, more luck to him. If I'm into stamp collecting, I don't require my spouse to do it too.

But, the all you can drink Diet Dr. Pepper -- that's almost as good as health insurance!

Neil, your insight is exactly why I like you. Thanks for the perspective.

The part about him wishing you worked out more or eat differently is a huge red flag. He's too obsessed with that, from the way it sounds. I don't know about him . . .

You are being so SMART with regard to meeting a tempting ex in public places! And it sounds like you have good perspective on his issues, and you're not making them yours. Good for you!
